Shruthi Rajarajan performed at the fourth annual India Fest held Oct. 11 at the India Cultural and Education center.

The United States Achievement Academy has conferred on Shruthi Rajarajan, an eight-grade honor student in Lincoln Middle School’s Lyceum Program, the honor of the All-American Scholar Award and the 2003 National Art Award.
She is the daughter of Rajarajan Subramania and Divija Rajarajan of Gainesville.
Sruthi is very interested in Bharatha Natyam, a classical form of Indian dance. She studies dance with Mathura Alladi.
Shruthi performed at the fourth annual India Fest held Oct. 11 at the India Cultural and Education Center on SW 13th Street. Gainesville witnessed its largest-ever gathering of Indians at this festival, said Shruthi’s mother.
Shruthi’s costume and jevelery were designed by her grandmother, Karpagam Selvaraj, and teacher Alladi.
